Chambers of Commerce and the G77 Chamber TIN / WCN

The Chambers of Commerce play a critical role in assuring that their members derive the full range of benefits from the G77 TIN / WCN by:

• Orienting members to the use of the Internet and the G77 TIN / WCN.

• Providing technical support including seminars, contact with reliable vendors, and training.

• Creating on-line business networking opportunities.  By fulfilling their traditional role of linking businesses together, the Chambers can serve as models for how to network on the Internet, an area with immense possibilities.

• Offering a broad range of workshops and advising services on how to integrate e-Commerce into one's business.

• Developing informational web sites that provide instruction for using the G77 Chamber TIN / WCN and for developing other e-Commerce capabilities.

• Creating formats for information exchange and access to the Net's treasury of business resources.

• Establishing cyber-cafes that provide Internet access to members and that support development of e-Commerce skills.

• Establishing mentoring relationships among members by linking people and businesses via the Net.

• Cultivating confidence and creativity among members in respect to ICT technologies, e-Commerce, and the global business environment.
