Established in 1921, The CAMEROON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND MINES (CCIM) like other existing Consular Assemblies elsewhere, is a consultative and representative body for the interest of private business communities in the fields of :

In general all commercial and industrial enterprises operating in CAMEROON are members of the CCIM. Consequently, the CCIM covers all CAMEROON.

Every 4 years, members elect 120 representatives that make up the Consular Assembly, divided into 3 sections :

In regard to its missions, the CAMEROON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND MINES plays first of all, the role of liaison between, on the one hand, private business community and on the other hand, public authorities, in the area of consultation and representation in many fields where economy is of prime importance.

It also carries out many guidance activities especially promotion of commercial and industrial enterprises such as :

Finally, it maintains a network of relationships with the Consular Assemblies of all countries and also with international organizations involved in private sector activities.

THE CAMEROON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND MINES is ruled by a Bureau of 12 elected Members under the direction of a President.

Since 1986, Mr. Pierre TCHANQUE presides over the destinies of the CAMEROON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND MINES.

The Administrative Sevices on which relies the Bureau to carry out the missions of the CCIM are regrouped within the general Secretariat that is endowed with an experienced personnel. The Head Office of the CCIM is based in Douala. However, it is represented at the province level by Delegations (BAFOUSSAM, BAMENDA, GAROUA, LIMBE, YAOUNDE).

Generally, the CAMEROON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND MINES remains open to all individual or collective request for assistance and to any type of cooperation that comes in its areas of activity.
